Despite being born in FYR of Macedonia Nenad represented Serbia at U16, U18 and U20 levels and became three times European champion, in Spain at the U16 event in 2003, in Belgrade at the U18 tournament in Belgrade and in 2007 at the European Basketball Championship U20 held in Slovenian city of Nova Gorica. Nenad's father used to be a prolific scorer and Živčević junior proved that he is ready for greatness as not many players born outside Serbia ever get a chance to represent the country at the international championships due to huge competition.

Živčević is a versatile player who can play both shooting guard and small forward as he is very athletic with a good shooting range.
